Welcome to the AI4S Zone!

This is an open collaborative platform that brings together research forces and artificial intelligence innovation.

The AI4S Zone is designed for global researchers, AI engineers, and academic innovators, dedicated to promoting the deep application of artificial intelligence in scientific research and interdisciplinary integration.

I. Making AI the New Engine of Science

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way scientific research is conducted.

From protein folding prediction to drug discovery, from earthquake simulation to climate analysis, from material innovation to economic behavior modeling, AI has become a key tool for scientists to explore the unknown.

The core philosophy of AI for Science (AI4S) is:

Making artificial intelligence the “accelerator” of scientific research, using algorithms to drive science, and using science to feed back into AI.

The AI4S Zone in the AI community is the practical platform for this philosophy. We hope that through an open ecosystem, researchers can more easily access models, share data, build experiments, and work with global researchers to advance intelligent science innovation and application.

Here, you can:

  • Quickly find and run the latest scientific AI models;
  • Reproduce others’ research results and verify scientific hypotheses;
  • Upload and share your own models, data, or experimental results;

II. Our Vision

The mission of the AI4S Zone is to enable every researcher to use AI, use AI well, and progress together.

Our goal is to build an intelligent experimental field co-created by scientists and engineers:

Making every research problem empowered by AI; Making every research achievement take root and flourish here.

III. Zone Function Overview

The AI4S Zone relies on the community’s complete model, data, and computing infrastructure to provide full-process support for research innovation.

Currently, the zone mainly includes the following three functional modules:

1. Scientific Model Library

Centrally displays the latest research achievements and open-source models of AI in the scientific field.

Supports model hosting, version management, visual display, and online inference, enabling researchers to quickly test and reproduce models.

2. Scientific Datasets

One of the core resources of AI4S. The zone collects high-quality datasets from different disciplines, covering experimental observations, simulation data, literature knowledge, and other types.

Users can quickly find the required datasets through tag filtering, domain navigation, or keyword search, and directly integrate them into model training or evaluation.

IV. Disciplinary System

The AI4S Zone is built around fundamental disciplines, establishing a clear domain classification system covering the following areas:

V. Model and Data Creation

Creating New Scientific Models

Researchers or developers can quickly create models through the community page, filling in basic information such as model name, description, disciplinary field, License, etc., and uploading weight files and model cards (README).

We encourage providing complete experimental background, methodology descriptions, and examples to facilitate understanding and reproduction by others.

Uploading Scientific Datasets

On the dataset page, you can conveniently create projects, upload data files or data source links, and add structural descriptions and metadata tags.

High-quality, reproducible data is a key resource for driving continuous progress in AI4S.

VI. Open Co-construction and Collaboration

The AI4S Zone advocates the philosophy of “Open Research · Intelligent Co-creation.” This is a cross-disciplinary, cross-institutional research collaboration space.

We sincerely invite the following groups to join the co-construction:

  • Universities and Research Institutions: Open experimental results, co-build disciplinary models;
  • Research Teams and Laboratories: Participate in open-source projects and model reproduction;
  • Enterprises and AI Teams: Provide computing power, platform, and application support;
  • Independent Developers and Students: Learn AI4S technology and publish personal achievements.

AI4S is not a closed system, but a continuously evolving scientific ecosystem community.
